Festival Cocktails

When it comes to the festival, the parties are just as talked about as the movies. Everyone wants to know who's going to be where and what they'll be drinking. At a normal party during the year, you'll find me sipping on SKYY Vodka and Soda (only 60 calories!) but this festival, I'll be enjoying some of the exclusive film festival cocktails. Not only are these drinks light and delicious, they show pride for Canadian talent in some of the biggest festival films. Skinny Summer Cocktails!

Here are some low-cal cocktail ideas for summer, enjoy!

Tea-tini
1 ½ oz SKYY Vodka
3-5 oz fresh tea (loose leaf, or from bags)
This high antioxidant cocktail can be served straight up in a martini glass, or over ice with fresh lemon and berries for garnish for a kick! If desired, sweeten with natural sweeteners like honey.


Golden Delicious
(Low calorie apple syrups are available in coffee and baking sections of any local supermarkets.)
1 ½ oz SKYY Vodka
½ oz apple syrup
½ oz dry vermouth
Shake and strain this golden concoction into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with thin apple slice. It’s like the apple, only better!


X-Rated Fusion Fizz
1 ½ oz X-Rated Fusion Liqueur
1 ½ oz club soda
Add X-Rated and club soda in a tumbler with ice and blend with a stir stick. The bubbly cocktail tickles your tongue and your taste buds.


X-Rated Pink Lemonade
2 oz X-Rated Fusion Liqueur
1 shot of light lemonade
Shake X-Rated with the light lemonade in a shaker filled with ice and pour into a cocktail glass - watch guests get sassy after one sip.

SKYY Vodka One-On-One Cocktail Sampling Event!

NKPR and SKYY Vodka recently hosted a one-on-one cocktail sampling event for the media in celebration of the upcoming release of Alliance Film's "he's just not that into you," on February 6th, 2009. SKYY unveiled two new cocktails inspired by the movie — one sweet, one sour — both appropriately named "he's into you," and "he's just not that into you," to mirror the ins and outs, ups and downs and goods and bads of finding true love.

Guests enjoyed the mixing talents of SKYY bartender, Matt Jones, chose their favorite sips, and were treated to a tarot card reading to find out what their romantic future has in store...

SKYY Vodka is produced with a unique four-column distillation and triple-filtration process, as well as a reverse-osmosis process to create a smooth, clean taste. SKYY strongly supports film and was previously the official spirits sponsor and promotional partner for the movie, Sex and the City in Canada.

1 oz SKYY Vodka
1 oz Chambord
Pineapple juice

Directions: Pour SKYY Vodka and pineapple juice into shaker. Shake vigorously. Pour into chilled martini glass. Top off with a swirl of Chambord.

he’s just not that into you
1.5 oz SKYY Vodka 

0.5 oz Blue Curaçao
Lemonade

Directions: Pour SKYY Vodka and lemonade into shaker. Shake vigorously. Pour into chilled martini glass. Top off with a swirl of Blue Curaçao.

Sex and the City Movie
